Buy a home with ease

I hate having to shop around for anything, whether it’s a bag of carrots or a brand new car. The thought of having to take ages negotiating a deal puts me in a cold sweat, so I invariably rush through it and spend a little more than I probably should have. I realise though, that I need to take more care when I buy a home.
I have set myself a deadline of three months from now to find the ideal place, because I need to tell myself that this isn’t a decision that I sould be rushing into.

House builders in the UK offer a wonderful choice

My wife and I have three children and another one on the way, and have made the difficult decision to move home in the coming weeks. We haven’t taken the decision lightly, because we have lived in our current property for twelve years, and have been very happy here.
We have set our hearts on a new place, so we are currently searching through the websites of several house builders in the UK. While we are yet to discover the ideal dwelling, we have narrowed our search to a particular development that’s being built close to where I work.

UP – quick movie review

UP is the latest from Disney Pixar about an adventure undertaken by an elderly man after the death of his wife, a young adventure scout and a few strange companions picked up on the way.

The adventure begins when, to avoid repossession of his home, the film’s hero (retired balloon salesman Mr Fredricksen) attaches thousands of balloons to his home and sails off to seek the paradise of Paradise Falls.

The laughs come thick and fast and the story is not without its moving moments, although don’t expect too much pathos or nostalgia – it is, above all, a kids’ film.

The rise of 3D in movies

3D is not entirely new technology, but there have been huge advances in the film-making techniques that have spurred it to the forefront of animation movies these days.

IMAX cinemas have broadcast films that give the 3D experience for a while, however, the first movie that I saw in 3D was Monsters Versus Aliens and it was quite breathtaking. The film itself was OK, but having characters floating around in space in cinema was amazing.

The incredible thing though is how quickly you get used to the perspective and just settle back and enjoy the film jumping out at you. With Disney Pixar’s Christmas treat of A Christmas Carol on the way, it looks like it’s here to stay and getting better all the time.
